Please do remember all our products are reproductions of older programming, made in an age before the computer was even thought of, the quality whilst it is the best we can produce will never be of the standard of todays Hollywoods blockbuster. If you wish to purchase factory pressed, modern day blockbusters and do not understand public domain reproduction this is not the etailer for you. We specialise in titles from mainly over 70 years ago which have lapsed in the public domain and are not available on commercial realease. All titles are boxed and you will receive with a fully printed cover and labelled disks (except old time radio).
Making a Purchase
To purchase any of products has been made as simply as possible for you our customer. Just follow the following process:-
1. View the product you would like.
2. If you want more than one, change the quantity in the box.
3. Click on 'Add to Basket', your item will now appear in your shopping basket to the top right hand side.
4. If you wish to purchase other items, repeat steps 1 to 3 again. If not click view basket.
5. Your basket will appear in the screen, if anything is incorrect here you can alter quantities or remove items altogether. If correct click continue.
6. If you havent already registered for an account, you will need to click 'register' and create your account, if you have already done this enter the email address you registered your account with and your password.
7. An option to double check your invoice and delivery address will now appear, once you have done this click continue.
8. Your shipping options will now appear, please suit the one most appropriate to you.
9. Now select your payment method and enter any comments relevant to your order you wish to add and click continue.
10. You will now be taken to your chosen payment method, if by cheque or postal order print out the page and post it to us. If by credit card click which card you wish to use and enter the details and click make payment. You will notice a padlock to the bottom right of your screen which indicates you are paying using an encrypted secure server. Payment will appear on your statement as 'NoChex Ltd.' this being our credit card processor.
Shipping & Handling
Another reason for our rapid growth is our express despatch service. 99% oif items ordered before 2pm each day are despatched daily, if by courier a tracking number is obtained and emailed to you or if by Royal Mail a certificate of postage is obtained to certify delivery. Orders over £50.00 qualify for free shipping via Royal Mail, orders over £150 qualify for free shipping via Parcelforce or another courier on a next day basis. Please note quoted shipping prices are for within the United Kingdom only, please contact us if you are not within these territories.
Our couriers will attempt delivery of any package twice and then hold it at their depot for four days before returning it to us if it isnt collected. If this happens please contact us for a quote for redelivery to yourself. Royal mail will usually attempt delivery, then if not possible will hold it at their local sorting office for seven days before returning it to us. If again it is returned to use please contact us for a quote for redelivery.
If you need to include instructions with any consignement, please include them in the comments section and we will endeavour to place them on your package for the delivery company.
Cancelling an Order
Under the EC Distance Selling Directive you have the right to cancel the contract for your purchase. You have 7 days to do this from when you recieve your goods. You do not need to give us a reason for this cancellation, nor will you have to pay any penalty for returning your goods. You cannot cancel your contract if the goods you have ordered are audio or video recordings and have been taken out of the sealed package they were sent in (i.e. the envelope or box they were delivered in).
If you would like to cancel your contract please email us with the subject 'Cancel Order' in the heading and write cancel contract on the outside of the packaging your items are recieved in. These must be recieved by us within 7 days of yoru receipt of the goods.
Once we have both been notifed of your cancellation and recieved the returned goods, we will refund your order minus the cost of delivery and package and a 10% administration fee to reflect the costs of processing your order. This will be done after inspection of the goods to ensure they havent been opened or damaged and within a 30day period.
If the goods are found to have been opened or damaged, we wil inform you via email and they will be available for redelivery to you at cost.
Order Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit your account as soon as possible, but in the event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Returns
If you would like to return an item pleas email us support@theclassicdvdshop.co.uk, we will reply with an RMA (return merchant authorisation form), which will need to be completed and returned with the item.
Please note, we are not responsible for the return postage of any items and we advise you use a recorded delivery service. Also we recommend packaging the product(s) properly in bubble wrap etc to ensure it is not damaged in the post as we are only responsible for the item once it has reached out warehouse.
If an item is inspected and found to be faulty, a replacement will be issued and delivered at no cost to yourself. If an item is not found to be faulty a handling charge will be incurred and returned to you at cost. No items will be released until this charge has been paid.
In all cases, a replacement will not be issued until the original item has been returned.
Cookies
Cookies are used to store information you input into the website such as address, user id etc. if you choose remember me. We do not under any circumstance store credit card details etc. unlike other companies we believe these to be private and confidential and should only be used when you actually make a purchase.
